Behind the Scenes: How We Style a Wedding in One Day

May 1, 2026 2 min read

Every wedding we style starts with a vision — your vision. But between that initial consultation and the moment you walk into your beautifully dressed venue, there’s a whirlwind of creativity, logistics, and teamwork that brings it all together.

The Morning: Loading and Logistics

Our day starts early — usually around 6 AM. The van is packed the evening before with chair covers, sashes, centrepieces, candelabras, fairy lights, and every accessory on your wishlist. Each item is carefully labelled and organised by table and zone to ensure setup runs smoothly.

Arrival: Reading the Space

No matter how many times we’ve worked at a venue, we always take a moment when we arrive to assess the space with fresh eyes. Lighting conditions change with the seasons, and we adjust our placement and colour choices accordingly.

A wedding venue is a blank canvas. Our job is to paint it with your love story.

The Build: Layer by Layer

We work systematically, starting with the structural elements — chair covers go on first, then table runners and centrepieces. Sashes are tied individually (yes, every single one by hand). Finally, the finishing touches: candles, scattered petals, signage, and the all-important post box and card holder.

The Final Walk-Through

Before we leave, our lead stylist does a complete walk-through of the venue. We check every angle, adjust any crooked bows, ensure candles are evenly spaced, and take photos for you to keep as memories.

The Moment That Makes It Worth It

The best part of our job? When the couple sees their venue for the first time. That gasp, that smile, sometimes those happy tears — that’s why we do what we do. It never gets old.
